COW DAY
Moo, Moo !!! Thursday the 12th of February was C.O.W.
Day ( cycle on a weekday).77 children from 3rd to 6th
class participated. Some cyclists even dressed up as cows. Ms.Sandy Mc Groarty
from An Taisce held bike safety and maintenance workshops. Pupils enjoyed the
opportunity to be creative and bling their bikes too !!!
There was a green
school quiz for 3rd & 4th
class. Congratulations to Josh
Bermingham in 6th class who won The Cyclist 2015 trophy. Scoil
Niocláis promotes sustainable travel and encourages pupils to walk or cycle to
school. Our green school slogan was written by Tomas Lyons
“Walking to school
is cool, let’s walk together whatever the weather”.
